Daily IELTS Answer: Concentration (Band 6.5 – Part 1)
1. When do you find it hard to concentrate?
There are various situations when I find it hard to focus on a certain thing. For example, when the place is noisy or when I am trying to find some solutions to a specific problem.
- Grammar: Relative Clause with ‘Situation = ‘when‘ – there are lots of situations when I had to be polite.
2. In what situations you need to concentrate?
The situations that I need to concentrate in are when I’m trying to solve a certain problem at work, those are the times that I need to seek some concrete solution that could solve the problem immediately, especially when there’s some troubleshooting with a machine or there’s some wrong relay of results, so those are the times that I need to concentrate.
- Preposition: In a situation – “I was in a difficult situation when I had to break up with my boyfriend.”
- Collocation: a concrete solution
- Collocation: you can solve a problem – fix a problem
3. Is it easy for you to do 2 things simultaneously? (at the same time?)
Unfortunately no, I’m the kind of person who needs to focus on 1 thing and allow other things to wait while I’m trying to focus on certain situations like that.
