“Yes, I always had a favourite teacher, not only at school, anywhere I studied, I always had some teachers who engaged me and the other students. I think it’s a good thing to have someone as a role model, who you think is good at teaching or good at something. That allows you do better at some subjects.”

Could you be a teacher?

“I’m better at understanding than I am at explaining something. It doesn’t go very well when I explain things to my girlfriend or my colleagues. I don’t feel like I always give a very good explanation, even with things I do often.”

What qualities should a good teacher have?

“I think they must be able to explain the same thing in very different ways because sometimes people don’t get the first way and they need some different perspective / approach. The other thing is being able to engage students, to make the subject interesting.”
