Do you go to bed early or stay up late?
I usually go to bed late because I like to watch a film or read a book before I go to bed and take a moment for myself away from WhatsApp or social media.
Do you take naps during the day?
It depends on what I have to do during the day. If I need to concentrate (v.), and I can’t focus, I need a 30-minute nap, but if there’s nothing to do I consider napping as a waste of time, I try to skip it and power through. (stay awake)
+Grammar – adjectives – 1-hour workout / 5-minute break / 30-year old whiskey – no ‘-s’ on hour, minute or year.
+Collocation: power through – (ph.v – continue despite difficulty)
Are you a light sleeper?
Definitely not. The last two earthquakes that destroyed my city didn’t wake me up. So I’m a deep sleeper, there are some sounds that help me sleep. so I don’t wake up easily. I used to live in the most lively area called Movida with people talking and partying, but I could sleep there anyway.
+Collocation: a light sleeper – someone who wakes up easily from noise or a disturbance
+Collocation: a deep sleeper – someone who can sleep through loud noises or disturbances, without waking up.
+Collocation: a lively (adj.) area – a place with a lot of activity, during both the day and the night
