1. Should friends be honest with each other all the time? 

“Well I guess you don’t have to be 100% honest all the time, sometimes you need to tell some white lies, not to offend them, so I think you need to tweak it in a way that is smart. That you can tell them, not the truth, but you can get the message to them as long as it’s not going to hurt their feelings.”

• Verb: tweak – to change slightly / to adjust a little bit

2. Do you think there are times when it is suitable to tell a white lie? 

“I think there are times when it is suitable  to tell white lies to other people. It is the time when they are asking about something that they really like, like their haircut or maybe their new skincare – they think that they are glowing with new skin care or they are proud of their achievements, but if we are not necessarily impressed by that, we can tell a white lie in that situation, we don’t have to be honest with them, I think that’s a suitable time to tell a white lie.”

• Pronunciation: suitable = ‘sooootable’ 
• Phrase / Chunk: if we are not necessarily impressed by that
