Daily IELTS Answer – An Important Event You Celebrated (Band 7.5 – Part 2)
Describe an important event that you celebrated
“I’m going to describe my wedding. I think it’s a little bit cliche to talk about, but it’s one of the most important events in my life. Some people may think it’s a little bit too early because I’m too young but we had already been living together for a year, and I wanted to do it and I thought it was right to do it. I think a lot of people don’t get married and it’s over or they break up. The ceremony was not as big as others. We did it in Brazil, with my family. My husband’s sister wanted to be there so badly she took a day trip to Brazil from Australia, I mean 24 hours in Brazil, then she went back to Oz. The ceremony was a little bit short, but I got a chance to see everyone, because usually the time I have in Brazil is a little bit too short so I can’t see everyone I want to. That was a really important event for me.”
