Have you ever received a gift that you didn’t like?

When I was visiting my mother-in-law, it was the same time as my birthday so we celebrated my birthday at my house. She gave me a present that I didn’t like. Even though I didn’t like it, she wanted to please me, so I said I was really happy with the present. 

What kinds of gifts are popular in Brazil?

Considering the ages, because there are different kinds of presents in regards to age. Kids, for example, the best choice is toys. Even though the parents prefer clothes because it’s cheaper for them. But for adults…. it depends on how close you are with the birthday person, so you can give clothes, drinks, cars, holidays, diamonds and things like that. It depends on how much you have.  

Do you like to give expensive gifts to other people? 

Normally, I don’t look at the price, for example, if I’m looking for a present for my mum, I try to get something higher quality, but it doesn’t have to be expensive. Even though it’s my mum, I would like to give her the best present ever. Even though I don’t make much money, I still try to buy my parents really nice, high quality gifts.
