Describe something you did that was difficult but successful
You can say:
– when it happened
– where it happened
– why it was difficult
– and say how you managed to succeed

One experience that comes to mind is when I completed a challenging hike in the mountains with a group of friends. It was last summer when we went on a trip to a national park with the intention of exploring some of the hiking trails.

One particular hike that we decided to tackle was known to be difficult and had a high elevation gain, but we were up for the challenge. We started early in the morning, but as we got higher up the mountain, the air became thinner and it became harder to breathe. The trail was steep and rocky, and we had to take breaks every few minutes to catch our breath.

At some points, I thought about giving up and turning back, but the encouragement of my friends kept me going. We cheered each other on, took turns carrying each other’s backpacks, and shared snacks and water to keep our energy up.

After a few hours of hiking, we finally reached the summit, and the view was breathtaking. We could see for miles and the sense of accomplishment was overwhelming. The descent was no easy feat, but we all made it back down safely.

Looking back on the experience, I realize that it was difficult, but the feeling of success and accomplishment was well worth the effort. I learned that sometimes it takes hard work, determination, and the support of others to achieve your goals.
