IELTS Speaking Part 2 & 3

Part 2 & 3 – Someone who speaks a foreign language – (Sept ~ April 2024)

Part 2 –

60 seconds to prepare 📝
2 minutes to answer 🗣️

  • Describe someone who speaks a foreign language well
    You can say:
    – who they are
    – how you know them
    – what foreign language they speak
    – and why you think they speak it well

I have a friend named Sarah, whom I met at university. She speaks French quite well, and we became friends during a language exchange program.

Sarah’s French skills are impressive. She can have basic conversations with ease, understands common phrases, and can even express her thoughts on various topics. Her motivation to learn French comes from her love of the culture and her desire to travel to French-speaking countries. She practices regularly and is proud of her progress.

What stands out about Sarah’s language ability is her enthusiasm and her ability to communicate effectively in everyday situations. While she’s not yet fluent, she’s definitely on the right track and inspires others with her determination to learn and improve.

In conclusion, Sarah’s journey to learn French at an A2 level reflects her dedication and passion for languages, making her a positive example for language learners at a similar stage.
