IELTS Speaking Part 2 & 3

Part 2 & 3 – An activity you enjoyed at primary school – (Jan ~ August 2024)

Part 2 –

60 seconds to prepare 📝
2 minutes to answer 🗣️

  • Describe an activity you enjoyed at primary school
    You can say:
    – what the activity was
    – where / when you did this activity
    – who you did it with
    – and why you enjoyed it

One of my favorite activities in primary school was the annual ‘Sports Day,’ a day filled with various athletic competitions and fun games. This event took place in the spacious school playground, usually towards the end of the academic year, marking the onset of summer.

I participated in this event alongside my classmates and friends, forming teams for different activities like relay races, long jump, and sack races. The preparation for Sports Day was as exciting as the day itself, with weeks of practice sessions during our physical education classes.

What made Sports Day so enjoyable was not just the thrill of the competitions, but also the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie it fostered among us students. Cheering for each other, celebrating victories, and consoling those who didn’t win created a sense of unity and friendship that I cherished deeply.

Moreover, the day was filled with colors, laughter, and cheers, making it a vivid memory in my mind. The joy of participating, the rush of adrenaline during the races, and the sense of achievement, whether winning or just completing a race, made it a highly anticipated and thoroughly enjoyable part of my primary school experience.
