IELTS Speaking Part 2 & 3

Part 2 & 3 – Describe a film – (Sept. ~ April 2023)

Part 2 –

60 seconds to prepare 📝
2 minutes to answer 🗣️

  • Describe a movie you watched recently and want to watch again
    You can say:
    – when / where you saw it
    – what the film is
    – what the film is about
    – and say why you want to watch it again

I recently watched the movie “Parasite” for the first time and was absolutely blown away by it. It’s a Korean film that won the Palme d’Or at Cannes and the Best Picture Oscar, so I had very high expectations going in. But it still managed to surprise me with its sharp social commentary, dark humor, and masterful storytelling.

I won’t give away too much of the plot, but it follows a poor family who scheme their way into working for a wealthy family, with unexpected consequences. The cinematography is stunning, the performances are top-notch, and the twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

I would love to watch “Parasite” again soon, partly because I know there are probably nuances and details that I missed the first time around. But mostly because it’s such a well-crafted and thought-provoking film that I’m sure I would appreciate it even more on a second viewing.
