IELTS Speaking Part 2 & 3

Part 2 & 3 – An Inspiring Person – (Sept ~ April 2023)

Part 2 –

60 seconds to prepare 📝
2 minutes to answer 🗣️

  • Describe a person who inspired you to do something interesting
    You can say:
    – who the person is
    – how they encouraged you
    – what they encouraged you to do
    – and say how you felt about their encouragement

The person who inspired me to do something interesting is my high school English teacher, Ms. Johnson.

She encouraged me to participate in the school’s speech and debate team, which I initially thought was too challenging for me.

However, she saw my potential and believed in me, which made me want to try. After months of preparation and practice, I competed in a speech contest and won first place.

Ms. Johnson’s encouragement and belief in me inspired me to keep pursuing public speaking and debate, which has led to many more interesting opportunities and experiences. I am grateful for her support and guidance.
