IELTS Speaking Part 2 & 3

Part 2 & 3 – A useful object – (Jan ~ August 2024)

Part 2 –

60 seconds to prepare 📝
2 minutes to answer 🗣️

  • Describe a useful object that you own
    You can say:
    – what the object is
    – what it does
    – how often you use it
    – and how you feel it

A useful object that I own is my smartphone. It’s a multifunctional device that I use for various purposes. Primarily, it helps me stay connected with my friends and family through calls, messages, and social media.

I also use it for educational purposes, like accessing online courses and researching for my studies. Additionally, it serves as my entertainment hub, where I listen to music, watch videos, and play games.

I use my smartphone almost constantly throughout the day. It’s the first thing I check in the morning and the last thing I use before going to bed. Whether it’s for setting alarms, checking emails, navigating with maps, or capturing moments with its camera, it’s an integral part of my daily routine.

I feel extremely reliant on my smartphone. It’s not just a device for communication; it’s like a mini-computer that fits in my pocket. It has made my life much more convenient and organized. Without it, I would feel disconnected and a bit lost, considering how much I depend on it for both personal and professional tasks.
