IELTS Speaking Part 2 & 3

Part 2 & 3 – A talkative person – (Jan ~ August 2024)

Part 2 –

60 seconds to prepare 📝
2 minutes to answer 🗣️

  • Describe a person you know who talks a lot
    You can say:
    – who they are
    – how you know them
    – what they usually talk about
    – and how you feel about them

Well, when I think of a person who talks a lot, my friend Michael comes to mind. I know him from university, where we study together. Michael is known for always having something to say, no matter the topic.

Mostly, he talks about things like sports and movies, but he also likes discussing what he learns in his classes. Sometimes, it’s interesting because he knows a lot about different subjects. But other times, it can be a bit too much, especially when I’m trying to concentrate on my own work.

Despite this, I really appreciate Michael. He’s a good friend, always lively and full of energy. His talking makes our group lively and he always has a story to tell. I guess that’s why people enjoy being around him. It’s never boring when Michael is there.

So, even though he talks a lot, I feel pretty good about him. He’s a big part of my university life, and I’ve learned a lot from our conversations.
