Describe a place you visited that was affected by pollution
When I visited Delhi, India, I saw firsthand the effects of air pollution on the city. I visited in the winter months, when air pollution levels in the city are particularly high.
The air pollution in Delhi was so thick that it was difficult to breathe. I saw a lot of smog and haze in the air, and could feel the pollution in my lungs. The pollution was particularly bad near major roads and highways, where there were a lot of cars and trucks emitting exhaust fumes.
I also saw a lot of litter and waste on the streets and in the waterways, which was contributing to the pollution problem. The polluted air and water were affecting the health and well-being of the city’s residents, who were at risk of developing respiratory problems and other health issues as a result of the pollution.
I felt really sad and concerned about the pollution in Delhi. It was clear that the city was facing a major environmental crisis, and that urgent action was needed to address the problem. I also felt frustrated and helpless, because as a visitor to the city, there wasn’t much that I could do to make a difference.
This experience really highlighted the importance of taking action to reduce pollution and protect our environment, both on a personal level and on a broader policy and societal level.
