IELTS Speaking Part 2 & 3

Part 2 & 3 – A job you would like to do – (Jan ~ August 2024)

Part 2 –

60 seconds to prepare 📝
2 minutes to answer 🗣️

  • Describe a job you like to do in the future
    You can say:
    – what the job is
    – how you learnt about the job
    – what the job involves
    – and why you would like to do it

In the future, I aspire to become a software developer. This interest sparked during my high school years when I first took a computer science class. The thrill of solving problems through code and the endless possibilities of creating something new and useful deeply fascinated me.

A software developer’s job involves more than just writing code. It encompasses understanding user needs, designing software solutions, testing, and continuously improving them. This role requires a blend of technical skills, creativity, and a keen eye for detail.

What’s particularly intriguing about this career is the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from developing mobile apps to building complex software systems. It’s a field that’s constantly evolving, which means there’s always something new to learn and explore.

The main reason I’m drawn to this job is its potential impact. Software developers have the power to create tools that can significantly improve people’s lives or transform industries. The idea of contributing to such advancements is both exhilarating and motivating. It’s a career path that promises both challenges and rewards, aligning perfectly with my passion for technology and problem-solving.
