Part 2 –

2 minutes to answer 🗣️

  • Describe a conversation you had with an older person
    You can say:
    – who you talked to
    – where / when you talked to them
    – what you talked about
    – and what you learned from the conversation

Recently, I had a memorable conversation with my grandmother, Mrs. Smith. We talked in her cozy living room one quiet Sunday afternoon. The conversation was filled with warmth and nostalgia, as we sat surrounded by family photos and vintage decor.

Our discussion revolved around her experiences growing up in the 1950s. She shared stories about her school days, the fashion trends of the time, and the music she loved. It was fascinating to hear how different, yet in some ways similar, her teenage years were compared to mine. She spoke about attending dances, the excitement of early rock ‘n’ roll, and the simplicity of life before the digital age.

What struck me most was her tale of moving to the city for work. It was a big step for a young woman at the time. She described the challenges and opportunities she faced, emphasizing the importance of resilience and hard work.

From our conversation, I learned a great deal about family history and gained a deeper appreciation for the advancements and changes over the past decades. Her stories highlighted the value of perseverance and embracing change, lessons that I find very relevant to my own life.
