  • Describe a computer problem you had
    You can say:
    – when the problem happened
    – what the problem was
    – who you asked to resolve it
    – and say if you resolved it or not

A computer problem I faced occurred about two months ago. I was working on an important assignment for my university when suddenly my laptop’s screen went completely blank. I couldn’t see anything, and the laptop seemed unresponsive.

Not knowing what to do, I asked my roommate, who is quite tech-savvy, for help. He tried a few troubleshooting steps, like restarting the laptop and connecting it to an external monitor, but the issue persisted. We suspected it might be a hardware problem.

Since I needed my laptop for my studies, I decided to take it to a professional computer repair service. The technician diagnosed the problem as a faulty graphics card and recommended a replacement. Unfortunately, due to the cost and time involved, I opted not to go for the repair immediately.

In the meantime, I managed to retrieve my assignment files using another device. I continued working on my roommate’s computer and made arrangements to get my laptop repaired during the upcoming break. Although I haven’t resolved the problem yet, I’ve found a temporary solution that allows me to continue my work without major disruptions.
