IELTS Speaking Test Part 1

Part 1 – Snacks – (Sept. ~ April 2023)

Part 1 –

#1 – What kinds of snacks do you like to eat?

I enjoy a variety of snacks, but some of my favorites include fruits, nuts, popcorn, and chocolate. I also like to snack on chips and crackers occasionally, but try to limit my intake of salty and processed foods.

#2 – When do you usually eat them?

I tend to snack throughout the day, especially if I have a busy schedule and don’t have time for a full meal. I also like to snack in the evenings while relaxing at home or watching TV.

#3 – What snacks did your parents allow you to eat when you were younger?

My parents were generally quite health-conscious when it came to snacks, so they encouraged me to eat fruits, vegetables, and other nutritious options. However, they also allowed me to have occasional treats like cookies, ice cream, and candy, as long as I didn’t overindulge.

#4 – What’s your opinion about snacks between meals?

I think snacks can be a great way to boost energy and stave off hunger between meals, as long as they are healthy and consumed in moderation. Snacking can also be a fun and social activity, and can provide a much-needed break during a busy day.

#5 – What kind of snacks do children in your country like to eat nowadays?

Children in my country seem to enjoy a wide variety of snacks, ranging from healthy options like fruits and yogurt to less nutritious items like candy and chips. Snacks that are convenient and easy to eat on-the-go, such as granola bars and fruit snacks, are also quite popular.

#6 – Is it healthy to eat snacks?

It depends on the types of snacks that you are eating and how frequently you consume them. Some snacks, such as fruits, vegetables, and nuts, can be very healthy and provide important nutrients and energy. However, other snacks, like candy and chips, are often high in calories, sugar, and sodium, and can contribute to weight gain and other health problems if consumed in excess. It’s important to choose snacks wisely and enjoy them in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
