#1 – What kinds of gifts are popular in your country?

In my country, popular gifts often depend on the occasion. For birthdays, people might give things like clothes, books, or gadgets. On special holidays, like Christmas, gifts like chocolates and decorative items are common. Also, people might give flowers or small presents as a way to say thank you or sorry.

#2 – What was the last gift you received?

The last gift I received was a box of homemade cookies from my friend. It was a pleasant surprise and a thoughtful gesture. I really appreciated it because I like cookies, and the fact that my friend took the time to make them made the gift even more special.

#3 – Do you often buy gifts for other people?

Yes, I do try to buy gifts for my family and friends on their birthdays and other special occasions. I think it’s a nice way to show that you care and appreciate them. I usually choose something that I think they will like or find useful.

#4 – Is it appropriate for people to buy expensive gifts for each other in your country?

Yes, it can be appropriate to buy expensive gifts, but it depends on the relationship between the people and the occasion. For close family members or good friends, it might be okay to give more expensive presents for special events. However, for casual acquaintances, smaller and more thoughtful gifts might be better.

#5 – Have you ever received a gift that you didn’t like before?

Yes, I have received gifts that I didn’t like before. It’s not that the giver meant any harm, but sometimes the preferences and tastes can be different. I believe the thought behind the gift matters more than the actual item, so I always appreciate the gesture even if the gift isn’t exactly what I would have chosen.
