IELTS Vocabulary – Weddings

Vocabulary:

Nouns: 

  • wedding ceremonies

Adverbs: 

  • hardly ever – not often, seldom

Verb Collocations: 

  • get hitched – informal phrase: get married
  • settle down –  to get married or commit to a monogamous relationship

Adjectives: 

  • engaged – having formally agreed to marry.
    “Keith and I had got engaged four months before”
