Nouns: 

• distractions – a thing that prevents someone from concentrating on something else.
  “the firm found passenger travel a distraction from the main business of moving freight”

Verbs: 

• obey – submit to the authority of (someone) or comply with (a law).
  “I always obey my father”

• how they see fit – consider it correct, appropriate or acceptable to do something.
  “why did the company see fit to give you the job?”

• step out of line – behave inappropriately or disobediently.
  “if you step out of line once more you’re fired!”

• nurture the relationships – care for and protect (someone or something)
  “Jarrett was nurtured by his parents in a close-knit family”

Collocations / Phrases: 

• at the table – while eating a meal at the kitchen table
