IELTS Lesson – How to Describe in Part 2

A few newsletters ago, I outlined the PDF strategy to help your answer any IELTS Part 2 speaking question: Past → Describe → Future

The Describe step of the strategy is the main focus of the task, and also gives you the most to talk about. This means you have a great opportunity to show off some of your more specific and varied English vocabulary.

Also, most of the time you spend talking should be on describing what you did, who you were with, what you saw and how you felt – (plus any other details you want to mention) so it’s important to know some different ways to describe things in English.

This short video will give you some of the ideal vocabulary, language points and sentence structures you can use depending on the Part 2 question you get. Enjoy!
