IELTS Question #1: Do you like to walk?

  • Level 1:
Sure. I enjoy walking through the woods behind my house, and also walking around town when I’m doing some shopping. Breathing in the fresh air helps me relax and clears my mind, especially if the weather is nice and it’s nice and quiet. It’s also easy exercise, so I can lose weight without sweating too much.
  • Level 2:
Sure. I enjoy taking a stroll through the woods behind my house, and also wandering around town when I’m doing some shopping. Taking in the fresh air helps me relax and clears my mind, especially if the weather is nice and it’s a peaceful and quiet. It’s also gentle exercise, so I can burn some calories without breaking too much of a sweat.

IELTS Question #2: Did you walk more in the past?

  • Level 1:
I definitely did. Mainly because I had to walk between classes. I also used to work in a large restaurant as a waiter, so I was walking all day. Sometimes I would walk over 20,000 steps in one shift. Now though, I can drive and I work in an office, so I don’t have a very active lifestyle now. Even after walking short distances my feet hurt.
  • Level 2:
I definitely did. Mainly because I had to go between classes on foot. I also used to work in a large restaurant as a waiter, so I was on my feet all day. Sometimes I would walk over 20,000 steps in one shift. Now though, I can drive and I work in an office, so I lead a much more sedentary lifestyle now. Even after walking short distances my feet are killing me.
