“When I was a child my parents used to talk about the artichoke. The artichoke that we have in our town, they always said it’s different from the others. In fact, we always hold a festival in our region because it’s quite famous, so people come from other areas. The special taste comes from the ground and so it a has a sweet taste, different from Rome for example. We are always making different dishes from artichoke, with pasta and drinking a beer with the artichoke taste, especially made for that event. We are always doing everything with artichoke because it’s a sort of religion, it’s one of the most important attractions of my town, and during this month in March and in April my town is full of people, normally it has only 4,000 people but during the festival there are maybe 15,000 thousand visitors in total.”

+Grammar: the ground (uncountable noun.) – “All over Italy, the ground is never the same from city to city, which means the food and wine they grow there tastes different.”
