Do you like making plans?

“I couldn’t say I enjoy making plans, it’s just something you need to. There’s no other way to organise your life or your travels for example. I used to make plans when I had a test and I didn’t have much time to prepare, I would make some study plan a schedule with a time I have left. A detailed schedule, sometimes I would skip eating because there was NOT enough time. Apart from that, I used to make plans for my spare time than for my work.”

What most important thing about planning?

“I always try to give some extra time to cover every eventually. If you think something will take 20 minutes, I plan 30 minutes. I give myself a cushion. Just in case something goes wrong, or someone calls me. I think I’m good at this because I think I always manage to keep on schedule.”
+Collocation / Expression: give myself a cushion – to give yourself some extra time, just in case something goes wrong or different from your original plans
+Collocation: keep on schedule – to follow the schedule correctly and accurately
