IELTS Speaking Part 2 & 3

Part 2 & 3 – A goal you want to achieve – (Jan ~ August 2024)

Part 2 –

60 seconds to prepare 📝
2 minutes to answer 🗣️

  • Describe a goal you would like to achieve
    You can say:
    – what the goal is
    – how you learned about this goal
    – when you would like to achieve it
    – and how you will achieve it

A personal goal I am eager to achieve is to become fluent in Spanish. I became interested in this goal after visiting Spain last summer. The culture and language fascinated me, and since then, I’ve been motivated to learn the language.

I plan to achieve fluency within the next two years. To accomplish this, I’ve started taking Spanish classes at my local community college and have dedicated time each day for self-study. I use language learning apps, watch Spanish films, and try to practice speaking with native speakers whenever possible.

Furthermore, I intend to spend a few weeks each year in a Spanish-speaking country to immerse myself in the language and culture. I believe this combination of structured learning and real-world experience is the key to achieving fluency.

This goal is important to me because it opens up a world of opportunities – from being able to communicate with millions more people to understanding a rich and diverse culture. It’s a challenging goal, but one I am committed to achieving.
