IELTS Vocabulary – History

Watch and learn new IELTS vocabulary about History from a native English speaker.

Vocabulary:

Nouns: 

  • a history nerd – an informal expression for a fan, or supporter of something, someone

Verbs: 

  • be into –  If you’re into something, it means you really like it.
    “I’m into listening to music.”
  • get the chance – have an opportunity to do something
  • rubbed off on  – be transferred by contact or association.
    “when parents are having a hard time, their tension can easily rub off on the kids”
  • stumble upon – to find or meet by chance
